  I've been a FUUSA member for 4 years and it is my home away from home. I think that's true for many folks of many faiths. If you're someone who wants to work on societal issues with a caring group of people, this is the place for you.

  I have gone to various churches and Unitarian Universalism is good for people who are or want to be spiritual but whose beliefs don't exactly fit standard Christian, Jewish or other beliefs. As the Unitarians say, there's room for different beliefs: yours. Unitarians believe in 7 principles including the worth of each person, environmentalism, democracy, a free and responsible search for truth and meaning, etc.
  
  This congregation in Albany has a lot going on (good services, religious education, music, events, committees, community service and projects). I visited and eventually became a member.
